SPECIAL MARRIAGE UPDATE

Michigan Voters Will Vote on Marriage Amendment in November
Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA) Scheduled for Debate in Senate
As reported in a special Forum Flash earlier this week, more than 482,000 signatures were submitted to the Secretary of State on July 5. A total of 317,000 valid signatures were required to place an amendment to the Michigan Constitution defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman on the ballot in November. Special thanks to the thousands of volunteers who made this petition drive an overwhelming success.

Elected officials need to hear from their constituents who support the FMA immediately. Michigan Family Forum has activated our Citizen Action Center in response to this need.
Click here to send a note requesting support for the FMA to Michigan Senators Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow. Both Senators have thus far declined to support it.
