"Coalition
for Marriage" Formed to Advocate
"One Man One Woman Marriage"
A coalition of groups, including Focus on the Family and Family Research Council, has announced the formation of the "Coalition for Marriage." The Coalition is currently based in Massachusetts working to defend traditional marriage in the wake of a court decision requiring marriage or marriage-type rights for homosexual couples.
The press conference announcing the formation of the Coalition spotlighted recent polls that continue to show Americans are opposed to homosexual marriage and "civil unions." A poll conducted by Zogby International showed that more than two-thirds of residents in Massachusetts want to vote on an amendment to keep traditional marriage in the state. National Public Radio is also preparing to release results of a poll showing that if President Bush maintains a firm defense of traditional marriage and faces an opposing candidate who favors civil unions, the President will have a sharp increase in support.

MFF is preparing a fact sheet to help citizens understand the details of Public Act 192. This Fact Sheet will be posted to our website soon and profiled in an upcoming edition of the Forum Online.

With proliferation of Internet pornography, online solicitations, and online purchasing, every family needs to be informed of safety measures to protect their children and their financial interests.
